Story Of My Life

It was just like any other day, I remember this day perfectly it was a Friday morning. Good Friday to be exact, April 3rd. My family members had just came to visit, we don't really see each other that much since they live in Bakersfield. It was like around 75 degrees outside. I was in 6th grade that time so I was like 12. My uncle wanted to go to the beach, so he invited us to go with him, me and my sister said " yeah just let us get dressed". We put on our shorts and a sweater because it was actually windy but not that kind of cold windy. We got in his car and he drove us to the beach.  We arrived at the beach and enjoyed that nice beautiful sun. We stayed  there for about like an 1 hour. Then my uncle said "let's go to the park" we all said " yeah let's go". We went to buy pizza's first because we were hungry, we took the pizza's to the park and me and my cousin went on the playground. We were eating our pizza's, but since I didn't eat pizza crust I wanted to throw it away. I had seen my friend Elizabeth with her mom, so I said hi. I still needed to throw my pizza crust away, so I went running. Forgot to mention I had sandals on and still the same clothes I took to the beach. While I was running I tripped over a crack on the cement. I didn't realize I feel with my arm under my stomach, I stayed laying on the ground. I didn't know what to do, I didn't feel any pain while laying down there. Until my sister picked me up and asked if I was okay, that's when I felt my arm ache. It hurt so bad, I told her and she started to wiggle it and it hurt so much. I saw like a bump on my arm, my uncle said it was my bone sticking out. We went home really fast and my sister helped me get changed. I had scrapes on my knee's and my forehead. My parents wanted to take me to get my arm massaged, they didn't think I had my arm broken. They took me to this lady, when she started to massage my arm she said she couldn't help me. She said it was definitely broken, I couldn't even move my fingers. My mom then had to take me to the hospital, we waited in the waiting room and then I got called up. They asked me what had happened so I had explained everything, they asked if anything else hurt I said no. They took my arm to get X-rayed, it was my right arm that was broken. They put a cast on my arm and gave me a sling, they also gave me pills for the pain called Tylenol. I had to drink those pills whenever I couldn't handle the pain. It was the worst thing ever, made my life a little more complicated. From then on, I try being careful when running.
