451 QUESTIONS, 20 ANSWERS

1. I believe the author chose the "The Hearth and the Salamander”  as a title because I think he connected it to Montag because he sets fires instead of putting them out. 
2. The assumptions the reader can make is that the protagonist, likes to burn stuff. To see things change. 
3. I think the imagery is negative, because the fire hose is spitting acid like a snake; a venomous snake. 
4. I think 451 is a burins post, in which books run in that temperature. Because paper burns at that point. 
5. Clarisse actually thinks, she walks around actually looking around. Her house lights are on because her family actually talks. She is odd because she knows things. 
6. The names are significant because the name clarisse is translated into like clear, which is what her mind is like. The name Guy means Monday in German, which is the beginning of a new week. 
7. She questions if Montag is happy. Montag says he is happy, he doesn't really stop to think he just responds fast. 
8. 3 odd things is that, people don't walk around, no ones lights are on the only light is from their TV, and no one really talks at home. 
9. He thinks Clarisse is odd because she thinks, and actually has conversations. 
10. Montag realizes he isn't happy because his smile fades away. 
11. Seashells in the book are like the AirPods we have now, they allow you to listen to things. Mildred, Montag's wife uses them to listen to things. 
12. Clarisse is different because she seems like a calm girl who thinks outside the box and cares about others , unlike Mildred she seems like serious person who is self centered.
